Train the Trainer
Training is a major investment for any company- small or large. Training doesn't just happen, it is a learned skill. This two tiered Train the Trainer development program focuses on techniques that bridge the gap between training and learning while making your capital investment worth while.

Train the Trainer - Level One

Level One of the Train the Trainer program targets the inexperienced trainer, supervisor and/or manager and successfully converts them into confident effective trainers

Objectives include but are not limited to:

  • Review and assess personal traits necessary to be an effective trainer

  • Learn and write essential training objectives to enable the evaluation phase

  • Analyze training methods in relationship to learning styles of target audience

  • Recognize the importance of the first several minutes of the training session

  • Identify factors to create a learning environment through media, games, and activities

  • Review and comprehend the six stages of learning

  • Practice how to overcome obstacles while training

  • Develop evaluation systems to review trainer's effectiveness and trainee's learning

  • Role Plays are a major portion of this training program
     

Train the Trainer - Level Two

Level Two of the Train the Trainer program targets the Human Resource Manager and Department Head level and focuses on training needs assessments, instructional design and follow up evaluation systems.

Objectives include but are not limited to:

  • Understand training and development is an investment

  • Determine the variables when calculating the cost of training vs. the cost of not training

  • Learn how to prepare and conduct a needs assessment

  • Learn the fundamental principles of Instructional Design beginning with the Training Objective

  • Review and analyze effective training methods in relationship to learning styles of target audience

  • Learn how to developing a Train the Trainer program

  • Create a learning environment using various training tools and techniques

  • Develop follow up evaluation systems to review trainer's effectiveness, trainee's learning outcomes and the return on investment

Ask about adding the Certified Hospitality Trainer and/or the Certified Hospitality Department Trainer designations!
